£10.25 Million

The project at Site C, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes for Niftylift Limited involved the design and build of a World Headquarters office and production facility for this prestigious Milton Keynes company that received in 2013 the Queen's Award for Enterprise, Innovation and International Trade as well as being winner of the Hire Association Europe Product and Supplier of the Year Award.

The scope comprised the design and construction of 22,864 ft2 GIFA of Category A & B office accommodation with 107,534 ft2 GIFA of warehouse and production space in 5 bays with Stores. Externally 15,000m2 of external concrete service yard and parking for 192 cars were constructed with new incoming and external services, a separate entrance and exit for vehicles and lorries together with a detailed soft and hard landscaping package of works.

The Works were practically complete in February 2015 with Niftylift then able to commence its fit out of the offices migrating shortly afterwards personnel across from the Rooksley and Stonebridge satellite offices into Shenley Wood.

The Works comprise open plan office accommodation fully fitted out with cellular glass offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, server and amenity/welfare space to a high standard of internal specification for the different skill sets within Niftylift.

In the Production warehouse, the building was designed to allow the assembly of the Niftylift "cherry picker" product in four defined bays categorised according to its product range with future space in Bay 1 for a paint workshop and high level ovens. All the production and stores areas are fully serviced with high level ambi-rad heating, lighting at 12m from the soffit of the frame co-ordinated with the steel beams and low level trucking power.
